Madison Washington was an American enslaved cook who instigated a slave revolt in November 1841 on board the brig Creole, which was transporting 134 other slaves from Virginia for sale in New Orleans, as part of the coastwise slave trade.

  1. I like the video. But please stop referring to all those enslaved as just slaves. When we say "the slaves" its saying they are not human beings. That is a narrative by the europeans. Referring to them as enslaved African men and women gives those ppl an identity of who they were and where they came from.
