Funny how now we watch more things thanks to technology and we always attach a "doom" scenario to things we don't understand. The earth will remain and we will too providing we keep level heads and approach challenges with logic instead of emotions.
We could be prepared but governments only want to spend on war and bullshit. The worst part is the mega-transformers that enable our power grid. If they go down they will take years to replace, and at this time China is the only major supplier. They could be protected but it would cost money and that flows into politician's pockets.
