John MacArthur: The Myth of Influence (Part 1)

This lecture will warn the church that we build the kingdom not by looking like the world, but that we are called to be set apart and distinct from the world around us.

  1. Thankyou Pastor McArthur for your diligence in delivering Gods Truth. As a result of your teaching, my relationship with Jesus Christ and my desire to turn from my wicked ways and willingness to seek the lord with all my heart all my soul and mind truly started when I discovered your teachings online 12mnths. Thankyou

  2. God bless you brother!! You are a gift of God to this generation of people hungry for the Word. There are so few of your kind, pls God, be pleased to extend the lives of our teachers.

  3. I like his sermons because the man has studied the historical aspects of texts. BUT….Nay to Calvinism… It's Gods desire for ALL to be saved not just the elect.. Now God has always known who will be because he is outside time and knows everything… But just as Adam and eve had a choice We all have a choice and we ALL should get out there and tell people about JESUS

  4. I am deeply grateful to hear the seven mountain mandate being clearly debunked by John. It is dominionism, not biblical & usually an apanage of the prosperity gospel. I had to leave the church I was in when confronted with such antinomianism🔥

  5. Paul tried to influence people into the kingdom…..

    1Cor 9:19 ¶ For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
    20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
    21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
    22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
    23 And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.

    Not that I would condone the methods of influence used today, but the fact that people can be influenced, flies in the face of Calvinism.

  6. I am always glad to be able to hear your sermons. May you be blessed by God in the valuable work you are doing.
    Wherever I get another of your books, I buy them an Study them.

  7. As a living stone member of the church , when I bring a proverb , a prophecy or a psalm , is like playing Bingo with the dead. When the Word awakens and brings fruit , the dead turn into zombies and trample you.

    They get together, say a prayer before eating and filling their God of their bellies . They are happy ! Nothing wrong to look at beautiful faces. Yet their families are Frankenstein woven . 7 out of 10 are adulterous couples . No zeal for God's way. No advice in keeping a covenant or avoiding adultery or fornication . Covenant breakers .
    The Word stresses to eat at home .
    When we get together , we must break bread , and drink the water of life which is the body of Christ who is the Word in flesh.
    Lewdness is their power . Ganging up in hypocrisy. They shut you up when speaking in the gate/spirit .
