Have you ever thought of pre recording your children singing and their reading the biblical scriptures and storing the recording's into your computer?
I record with a audio/video application in my computer, I then download the recording's into a musical/video file in my computer and playback whenever.
I don't know, I'm not that computer savvy like yourself, so I don't know much about recording volumes, though I can imagine you'd be able to figure out how to control the recording volume on their singing and reading's so the playback volume would be greatly enhanced for the viewer's.
Your children have amazing voices, maybe at their ages, they're ranges aren't very strong, maybe they're also soft spoken and a little shy? Which is totally normal.
They don't have that big boomin' voice like you do…Dad!LOL.
I remember, when I used to go to church (before being awoke), there was this chior and one sister, had a pair of lungs, pipes, bull horn or whatever you'd want to call it on her and when she sang her solo, her vocal range was so strong, she did not need a microphone, amps or speaker's……At all!!!!
It hurt my ears, I almost had to leave until the singing was over and you could tell immediately it was her, the rest of the chior didn't sound nearly as loud as she did as they sang into the microphones.
A person who sets up sound equipment, really needs a good set of ears to monitor the sounds. If not, it can create a very negative experience for both the performer's and listener's.
