I am a Serb and I don't see the point of purchasing more military. Who is going to attack us? Who are we going to attack? All countries buy weapons all the time. Serbia wants to remain military neutral. We can't rely on Nato to protect us, since Nato bombed us in 1999. So, we turn to Russia and China. The report did not mention that Serbia plans to buy military planes from France, to replace the obsolete Soviet Mig planes. As for Russia, we have a long and deep relationship – religious, cultural, historical, economic, political, so sanctions against Russia are not going to happen. Serbia is a sovereign country and must make choices of its own. We hate being ordered what to do. Ukraine is not our war. Germany wants us to turn off the Russian gas, and Germany has not done so.
Why do humans like to compete to show off their weapons and provoke each other to war. Why cant humans compete to show off their generosity and lovingkindness and build peace and forgiveness instead.
The Golden Rule ( stems from bible Luke 6:31) is: Do unto man what you want man to do unto you. Simply put, treat others the way we want them to treat us. So, Dont covet, provoke, lie, steal, kill and destroy others, if you dont want others to covet, provoke, lie, steal, kill and destroy you.
In Matthew 18:21, 22…. Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall i forgive my brother and sister who sin against me? Up to 7 times?" Jesus answered, " I tell you, not seven times, but seventy – seven times. (70 X 7 times)." Figuratively, it means Unlimited Forgiveness.
Wars and conflicts would not continue if everyone knows the true Creator God, remembers His Word and Obey them. Unfortunately, many dont know the real God and everyone has inherited a sinful nature from our first parent, Adam and Eve, who first sinned against God. Hence we are incapable of having this kind of forgiving spirit………… unless the Spirit of God lives within us again.. Therefore, our challenge is to ask Lord Jesus Christ to be our Lord and Saviour. Then invite Lord Jesus to come into our hearts to cleanse away all our sins with his blood. Then with God's Amazing Grace inside our hearts, spirits and souls,, we are able to walk with the love and forgiveness Lord Jesus gives to us daily. If many come to know the Saviour, many wars will cease. I pray God will grant His mercies and grace upon this disobedient generation and show His love and forgiveness to many.
