After grappling with the complex issues around same sex attraction and gay marriage we are now faced with an emerging pressure to accept gender fluidity, gender ambiguity, and transgender as a normal part of the spectrum of human sexuality. Many people who experience ambiguity or confusion about gender also find themselves the victims of discrimination and cruelty. Others choose the difficult journey of gender reassignment surgery and claim that this has set them free to be who they really are. This talk explains terms, discusses some of the research, and talks about how Christians respond to the Trans-Culture and the ethical dilemmas it raises.
