For most negro (black) people hearing that it was their ancestors wrote the torah and indeed are the people of the book a royal set apart dispersed nation can be extremely uncomfortable and upsetting upon the hearer; despite overwhelming evidences of scripture, history and geography many will refuse due to years of colonial and post-colonial religious/political (church/state) indoctrination.
A kick back response from the negro is often normal and to be expected, generally truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident. Imagine, suddenly waking up from a deep coma of lies?
This would be deeply traumatic holistically as your whole frame of reference changes (culture, understanding etc.) this can be a stressful process so do not be weary if when sharing the hearer is unstable, uncomfortable and disinterested at first when hearing this news (took me 4 yrs)
Just have faith in Yah and pray they grown in grace on their journey.
