In this TEDx talk Jody Medich, who has in her 23-year design career created just about everything from holograms to robots, will give you a glimpse to our superhuman future. Jody Medich is the Director of Design at Singularity University Labs. Her most notable work includes UX design for DARPA’S Big Dog, Principal Experience Microsoft, HMI for Toyota’s AiCar, and Principal UX at LEAP Motion. Today, she is a Futurist and Product Designer working to define the future of human-machine interface through radical inclusion by leveraging brain-machine interface, sensors, robotics, AI, and AR/VR. She also travels the world speaking about the future of these technologies and their impact on the world for Singularity University and groups like WIRED, Google, and TEDx.   1. I think it'll one day lead to immortality, but I don't see that as a bad thing. I mean, it's not as if the Universe doesn't have enough space. In fact, maybe that's what our purpose is! Maybe we are the seed that is supposed to spawn, and that's what the vast expanse is for.

  2. Technology like this is extremely fascinating and it is crazy how we humans managed to gain this knowledge. Nonetheless, when developing technology you always have to bear in mind, that it won't only be used for helping people. It will be used in North Korea, it will be used by the IS, it will be used by psychopaths trying to murder someone. I know this is the old boring argument against AI, Robotics ect. but this argument HAS to be made. I really know about the possibilities of technology, starting from the work of Marx and Keynes to stuff like this, but still: Assholes won't be impressed by Spiderman.

  3. I like how people say we'll be superhuman and others say we'll be slaves to terminators. lmao the extremes are real, what happened to somewhere in the middle?
