Deuteronomy 28 is one of our favorite “go to” chapters as it shows up what the world seeks to hide.
What is that?
Who the descendants of the children of Yasharal (Israel) are today. As we keep repeating in the previous episodes, according to Psalms 83, there is a worldwide conspiracy to ensure no one remembers the chosen people of the Most High.
Psa 83:3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. Psa 83:4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
But the Most High is all-wise and had prepared for such contingency beforehand. Hence in giving us Deuteronomy 28, he said (about the curses):
Deu 28:45Â Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of YAHUAH thy Aluah, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:Â Deu 28:46Â And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.Â
So, because it shall be a sign upon the children of Yasharal forever, it means that it will still be a sign today! Hence, in this series we look at the blessings and curses of Deuteronomy 28, to show who the true children of Israel are today.
